Rev. Margaret Johnson serves as pastor of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.  She received her Master of Divinity degree at Phillips Theological Seminary and is ordained as an elder in the United Methodist Church.

Previously she was pastor at Kiowa and Hardtner United Methodist Churches, Wesley UMC in Parsons, KS and First UMC in Columbus, KS.  Prior to that, she was an active lay member of Mt. Vernon UMC in Wichita, KS. 

Pastor Margaret finds joy in meeting people from all walks of life, has a passion for preaching and teaching, is spiritually fed by music, and inspired by God’s awesome creation.  Her interests include reading, movies, games, travel, spending time in the out-of-doors and with her family and friends!

Pastor Margaret believes the church is full of imperfect people who are gradually perfected by God’s love and grace.  Her greatest desire is for people to experience the love of God and to fully trust in the healing and peace offered through Jesus Christ..
